Vicki-Marie is an international examiner in Drama and Speech with Trinity College, a leading international examinations board. She is also a highly skilled and experienced Drama, Voice and Communication Skills teacher for students from pre-school through to post-graduate. Vicki-Marie is passionate about quality learning programmes for students in order to develop:
- Acting and Performance Skills
- Communication and Presentation Skills
- Confidence and Self-Esteem
In her private studio she works with primary, secondary, tertiary students and adults, helping them to develop their skills and achieve success.
Vicki-Marie has an extensive understanding of the role of drama in education. She is currently the Director of Performing Arts at St Mark’s Church School in Wellington, an independent co-educational school for students from pre-school through to year 8. Her creativity, flair and passion for the subject are evident in the progressive drama programme she develops and teaches. An integral part of this programme is the integration of Trinity College group drama examinations for all students throughout the school.
Vicki-Marie’s skills also extend to the operatic and choral world. Her love of singing has seen her performing roles for the NZ Opera Company, Wellington Operatic (now Wellington Musical Theatre) and Wellington Gilbert & Sullivan Society. She has taken principal roles in “Fiddler on the Roof”, “The King and I”, “Patience”, “Ruddigore”, “Yeoman of the Guard”, “The Merry Widow” and “The Marriage of Figaro”, as well as performing in film and television. She moves freely between the classical and contemporary genre.
